Though for the day:
(sing to the tune of 'Shoe Fly' song)
Shoo FLU, don't bother me,
Shoo FLU, don't bother me,
Shoo FLU, don't bother me,
for I don't want your misery!
I am feeling a bit 'under the weather'. It may not be the 'official' flu because I am not running a fever--but it is 'no fun' none the less.
I have been coughing for the past few days. I am getting really good at coughing into my elbow crease, washing my hands a lot, and generally being paranoid about spreading germs.
I feel a bit "watched" by the people I see in the grocery store, pharmacy, etc... We are all so aware now of germs and the spread of them. Have you noticed (I am sure we all have) all of the 'pump' hand sanitizers are out in stores, banks, laundry mats, etc...? If you are not worried about catching the flu or anything else, just go do some errands and you will get that way.
We may be carrying this a bit too far. I still want to shake people's hands, do the sign of Peace at church, and get into an elevator instead of taking the stairs. Well, it is good to be careful, especially if you are caring for a child or an elderly friend. You would not want to take home those nasty germs home with the bananas from the grocery store.
My hope is that things will go back to normal in the near future. To look on the bright side, we may all get a bit better at this germ control thing and continue to use some of these things we learn--that could result in fewer days of feeling like I feel right now. I need to go blow my nose, disinfect my key board, and use hand sanitizer now!
Take care (take extra good care),
MissT
